Job Title: Takeaway Assistant

Kao Thai is a vibrant food truck dedicated to bringing the authentic flavours of Thailand and other Asian cuisines to the community. Located at Elmgrove Flower Farm in Gormanston, Co. Meath, we pride ourselves on our commitment to freshness, quality, and exceptional customer service. Our team is passionate about creating memorable experiences through delicious street food.

Responsibilities
  • Take customer orders in person and over the phone with professionalism and accuracy.
  • Pack food efficiently, ensuring presentation and order accuracy.
  • Assist the chef with light food preparation and basic cooking tasks such as operating the fryer.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the food truck at all times.
  • Keep all supplies stocked, organized, and ready for service.
  • Support smooth daily operations and uphold high customer service standards.
Requirements
  • Transport: Must have your own reliable transport — the work location is not easily accessible by public transport.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a food service or kitchen environment is an advantage; training will be provided.
  • Skills: Friendly, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced setting. Fluent English is essential for effective communication with customers and the team.
  • A positive attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to learn are key!
Work Schedule
  • Flexible part-time or full-time options, up to 40 hours per week.
  • Operating hours: Wednesday and Thursday from 4:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Friday to Sunday, 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
